Jane Bedden

 

Jane Bedden is a Milliner from Surbiton, Surrey.

She studied Fashion Design, specialising in Millinery, at Epsom school of Art.

Jane wanted to pursue Millinery from the moment she encountered it, where she combined her love of History and Fashion.

After leaving college in 1994, Jane joined the Millinery Department at Angels and Bermans and worked on a range of Film and TV.

She then went on to work for E.N.O., alongside Costume Designers Jasper Conran and Maria Bjornson.

Jane has worked on many West End shows, including “Phantom of the Opera”, “Wicked!”, “Jerry Springer: The Opera” and “Oliver!”.

Over the years, she has worked on many TV Shows including “Bridgerton”, “The Great” and “Mr Selfridge”, and Films including “Maleficent” and “Snow White”. Jane has also worked for organisations such as The Welsh and Scottish Opera, The Young Vic and The Bath Museum of Fashion.

Jane has worked for The Royal Opera House for over 10 years on productions including “Alice in Wonderland”, “Swan Lake” and “La Boheme”.

Jane has run many “Family and Craft Days” through The Royal Opera House, which taught a wide range of ages basic millinery skills.
