Jaffe et Fils

Our company was initiated by Lois Jaffe, a milliner in London, in the 1950’s. The business evolved to become feather dyers and manufacturers relocating to the West Country and became known as Jaffe in 1975. Subsequently progressing to Jaffe et Fils in 2003. This transition from Milliners to ‘Plumassiers’ was made due to recognising the loss of specialist UK based feather dyers in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Now in the third generation, the Jaffe family has the most specialised and technical knowledge of feather dyeing and processing left in the UK. We are able to offer high quality and bespoke manufacturing and pattern dyeing services. We also have a huge range of products in stock which have been developed over many years including our popular millinery feathers, feather boas, trims and a Country and Cocktail brooch selection. We also still produce a wide range of military headwear including Pipers feather bonnets, plumes and hackles and our feathers can often be seen on Royal parade. Jaffe feathers frequently appear in many feature films, television shows, on cat walks and theatre productions worldwide.

Jaffe et Fils, now comprising of Felix, Ben and Gilly, continue to dye and manufacture feathers and feather products in the UK. We supply a range of high quality millinery and fashion feathers wholesale via Jaffe Feathers and more recently on our retail site The Feather Factory. Currently our customers include many of the well-known fashion houses, milliners and costumiers in the UK and worldwide.
