Hemp and Raffia braid. Coiling and stitching on a 150 year old strip straw machine
Millinery Heritage
“Heritage is incredibly important to me as I specialise in strip straw sewn on 150 year old 17 Guinea machines.
The village and area where I was born and raised was very popular with this skill, and the wheat fields I walked over to school had many 17 Guinea machines buried underneath. ”
