London Hat Week: Georgina Abbott & Becky Weaver
London Hat Week is a collection of hat related events run by individuals and organisations across London, celebrating the art of hats in the City that is home to some of the most talented hat designers in the world.
Founded by Georgina Abbott of Atelier Millinery and Becky Weaver of HATalk in 2014, London Hat Week attracts hundreds of hat lovers from around the world every year. Special guests in previous years have included celebrated milliner Stephen Jones OBE, award-winning journalist Hilary Alexander OBE, Sue Farrington Smith MBE - CEO of Brain Tumour Research, Royal Milliner Rachel Trevor-Morgan and fashion icon Daniel Lismore.
Offering masterclasses with some of the world’s top milliners, an international hat exhibition, exclusive talks and demonstrations with industry experts, a busy Supplier Fair and plenty of opportunities for hat wearing and socialising, London Hat Week has firmly established itself as one of the world’s top hat-centred events.
The 2019 London Hat Week Schedule features millinery masterclasses, business upskilling events for budding entrepreneurs, an exhibition of over 200 hats from designers all over the world, behind-the-scenes tours of London’s most exciting fashion archives and even an immersive storytelling experience for those brave enough to hear about hat pin horrors. Hats will be on heads all over London, as it should be every day, not just during London Hat Week!
