House of Flora
Flora McLean is the head designer of fashion label House of Flora. Inspired initially by Montana, Cardin and Courreges to study fashion design, McLean undertook MA Fashion at the Royal College of Art in 1995. House of Flora specialises in avant-garde headwear for the catwalk, fashion campaigns and collectors. Working with couture houses and ready to wear, including Givenchy couture, Bill Blass and Diane Von Furstenberg, McLean is often chosen as a collaborator for her innovative material combinations and techniques producing high impact witty graphic results. Long running collaboration is Iconic Heads with hair stylist Neil Moodie. House of Flora has recently launched the first menswear hat Collection HOFMAN making the top 10 menswear labels to watch. Her most iconic design is the PVC Beret. Flora teaches Fashion Accessories at the Royal College of Art London. Flora has recently started to exhibit her hats and accessories as art alongside her artist dad Bruce McLean.
