'The Season Hats: Laser Cut Flower Making and Trims'

One of a series of talks and demonstrations to accompany the exhibition ‘Unveiled - the Craft of Millinery’

Exploring the use of laser cutting technology to create a range of flowers and trims to adorn hats and headpieces. The process will be demonstrated from the drawn files within Adobe Illustrator to the hand finishing of the flowers and trims in a range of materials, with a video screening of the laser cutter in action. Paul Stafford trained at the Royal College of Art before launching The Season Hats. His laser cut pieces have earned him places in the British Fashion Council's Headonism and NEWGEN initiatives.

Any profits raised for this event will go towards The Feltmakers Charitable Trust.
